Las Vegas is a city known for its gambling, shopping and entertainment. The air is very dry, and more than 300 days per year are sunny. Las Vegas is generally hot in summer and moderate in winter.

Summer
Summer in Las Vegas is hot, especially June through September, monthly mean maximum temperatures reach around 100 °F. During summer, a T-shirt or tank top will be fine anywhere you go. However, it can get a little cool inside a building because of the air conditioning.

Winter
Winter is generally moderate, but particularly in the evening, it can be chilly and may require a cardigan, sweater or jacket. Sometimes light winter clothes are appropriate.

Climate and clothes in the State of Nevada

Nevada has famous tourist attractions, such as Lake Mead National Recreation Area, Hoover Dam and Lake Tahoe. Lake Mead and Hoover Dam are located in southern Nevada, near large cities are Las Vegas and Henderson. Las Vegas is also famous as the city of entertainment. Lake Tahoe is located in western Nevada, near large city is Reno.
Most of Nevada is a desert climate and semiarid climate, it has a great temperature difference between day and night which is a feature of these climate. A temperature difference of summer and winter is also large in Nevada. Climate of Nevada is sunny and dry, summers are hot and winters are cold. But southern Nevada tends to be mild winters.

A T-shirt or tank top will do in summer. If the night temperature drops, just layering will do. In winter, a coat or down jacket with gloves and a warm hat is recommended in most of Nevada, while the jacket is enough for most of the day in southern Nevada.
